Over the last few weeks, I've noticed that it's getting more and more difficult to get out of bed, go to work, eat right, and get my workout on!! How can we beat the urge to just sit, and get summer-ready?

Unfortunately, the stresses of life  can really take a toll on your workout routine. I've noticed lately that I've allowed outside influences to  directly affect my fitness goals. Fitness seems to be a roller coaster for most people- you get on a kick, work out hard for a few weeks, start to see results, then BAM: your boss lays into you. You get an eviction notice. Somebody close to you falls ill. And suddenly, exercise is your last priority. What's crazy about that is, exercise can have a HUGE impact on your attitude toward such mood-killers! Exercise increases endorphins, making you feel happier and healthier. It gives a person a sense of accomplishment. Honestly, have you ever walked away from a workout and said, "Man, I wish I would have just stayed on the couch tonight."? Doubtful. So, the big question is, how do we overcome the lazy bug???
I've come up with a few tips that help me, and I'll let you guys know the way it impacts my daily routine in the coming weeks!! For my clients: I will be employing these things with you, so be ready to be MOTIVATED and ENERGIZED and ready to take on anything that comes your way!

1)Make a calendar: I'm printing out monthly calendars that will have specifics on what exercises to do each day. Anything, even a check mark of approval, can help a person psychologically and increase motivation.

2)Plan your meals: I'm doing my fit foods- it's so easy and convenient. If you're on my facebook page or instagram, you've seen my weekly stock! You don't have to do that, but if you do, ask me how you can get a discount! Plan ahead, cook (I prefer to do it on Sundays) enough to last you the week, and store it in single portion containers. I have a list of recipes to share that have been effective with many of my clients, and myself! I lost 10 pounds in 6 weeks and can help anyone do it. Having a plan and sticking to it is the number one way to stay in shape!!

3) Track your food intake: I use My Fitness Pal. It's a free app and most of my clients have added me as a friend! We keep each other accountable. Knowing someone is watching and checking in on all your bad eating habits can really help you stick to your plan. It also has a place to add in your exercise. If you want to add me, look me up by the email:  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

4)Set an alarm: I've set an alert on my calendar in my phone to go off 10 minutes before my set workout time. NO MATTER HOW I FEEL, I know that I have to get my butt up, head to the gym, and get it done. GETTING THERE IS HALF THE BATTLE. You know that once you've walked in those doors, you might as well get it over with. And once it's over with, YOU'LL FEEL GREAT!!

What are some things that keep you from going to the gym? I'd love to hear some feedback on everyone's setbacks, and how you overcome those lazy tendencies!!
